Earthen - Dawn of Smiths

Prologue
Across time and space, many worlds have formed. The small, the large, and the deformed. All of these worlds vary from one another and no two had the exact same characteristics. However, of all these worlds, only one is destined to stand out of them all; Earthen, "The World of the Smiths."
It is the land of Earthen that bore the seal of Uniera, one of the worst curses to plague mankind. No word nor mind can describe what power it holds, and doom beseech anyone who lets this power pour forth into the world.
It is for this reason that the Balfine Family was tasked from the beginning of time to protect the seal. Their strength is unmatched, and with this responsibility held up to them, their fame rose quickly, and was soon became to be known as the The Family of the Lances. The Balfine Family, known for their purpose in the world, was unsurprisingly the most respected family there was; surpassing even all of the types of royalty that existed in Earthen.
Because of the role of the Balfines, the special members of the said family were also known as the Keys. These Keys were a group of three Balfines, whose strength were very much unparalleled by any ordinary human. These Keys were the ones responsible of recreating the seal at a regular interval, and it continued for several generations.
All good things come to an end, however. Liron Balfine, one of the strongest Keys that have walked Earthen, did something no one ever fathomed of doing. He had unexpectedly broken the seal, releasing the hidden power locked inside. The power, being that it was too much for Liron, consumed him. The remaining Keys, in fought vainly to restore that of which ty were sworn to protect.
With the advent of such a catastrophe, many of people grew to doubt the Balfines. This was to the point that a certain king went and his nation had ordered the capture, and execution, of the Keys. The news brought great chaos to the land of Earthen, and with the power of a nation going against them, The Family of the Lances eventually faded into nothing more but a mere legend; or did it?By ShadwBlitz

After the 'Fall of Lances' (refer to Prologue), a new system was created to
preserve the seal. This new system is know as the 'Smith Tournament'.
People from all over the world, come to together, to create new equipment,
fight, and spectate. Contestants fight in teams of three, commonly, Leader, Partner, and Supporter.
The Greatest of the Contestants are given a task to create a weapon
of there choice. (They are given the materials to do this).
There weapons will be used as the new seal.
In Earthen you play as Baron (refer to character section).
You enter the 'Smith Tournament' with a partner and supporter of your choice.
You have the choice between 6 Partners (All girls, they will be tagged in the character section).
Your partner plays a very important role (As they can affect some skills learnt and Items available for crafting)

Earthen Features 3 main continents.
Liminjus
This is a forest heavy continent (Considering that almost the entire southern region is covered)
Primarily this is a resource rich area (Perfect for finding ores).
There are a limited amount of towns.
And only one Governing Kingdom.
Panderax
The most technologically advanced continent, also were most of the Smiths live, there is a perfect trade between it
and Liminjus, most of its population is in Pandexmus.
Pandexmus is a city built INTO the continent itself, as Panderax is very mountainous.
This is home to the 'Smith Tournamnent'.
Altharax
More preferably known as the cursed continent, mostly all BAD things center around this place.
This includes 'Uniera'.
It is governed by ONE Supreme Kingdom.

Baron- Spoiler:
Full Name : Baron Liron Balfine
Age : 19
Gender : Male
Race : Hume
Relations : Elli (Sister)
Primary Class : Lancer
Primary Element : Light
Bio : Is our Protagonist and one of the remaining members of the 'Family of Lances'.
He fast on his feet to help any 'Damsel in Distress'. He has forgotten most of his
past due to a long chain of events. He dreams to find a worthy opponent to fight one day.
When faced with something difficult, he will use a spear (Or any other sharp object)
and carve out wooden figures (Usually related to the problem).
Proud of his alias "Gifted Lancer", he will take on anything / anyone who says he isn't the
best Lancer.
He attends a private Magic School (Secretly) outside of Earthen (Different World).
Something sleeps deep withinn his mind, which if awakened should unlock his full potential.

Hector- Spoiler:
Full Name : Hector Silven Magin
Age : 31
Gender : Male
Race : Hume
Relations : ?????
Primary Class : Archmage
Primary Element : Neutral
Bio : Is a mysterious, wandering mage, it was rumored that he once worked for the king.
He is also a very important person to Baron. He is very blunt when he talks.
You could call him Baron's Older Brother, but it just wouldn't fit in well.
Due to a childhood accident, he can't run and he can't walk for long.
Instead he prefers to stay still and use missile based magic (Projectile Magic).
Commonly he uses neutral element magic. He doesn't carry a staff or rod. (Can't equip them)
As for his mysterious life, he is responsible for keeping the few Balfines remaining alive.
Also the saviour of Baron and his sister. (Though he separated them, sent Baron away and kept Elli in Earthen)
He now works as security for the 'Mount Guru' temple.

Cyrus- Spoiler:
Full Name : Cyrus Gran Magin
Age : 18
Gender : Male
Race : Hume
Relations : Hector (Step-Brother)
Primary Class : Technic (Cross between Pandera and Gunner)
Primary Element : Twilight
Bio : It seems that the Magin family has bad luck with childhood accidents.
Cyrus is unable to speak, instead he carries a small notepad where he jots down his thoughts.
He was adopted by the Magin Family after he was abandoned by his original family.
He looks up to Hector for strentgh and guidance.
When it comes to support, Cyrus is always willing to listen.
Quite often he'll nudge you if you hesitate to do something. (Talk to someone, open a treasure chest)
He is very friendly and can be very protective of his friends.
As a childhood friend of Chika and Spyet, he will not allow anything / anyone to harm them.
Overall Cyrus is a great friend and a strong one at that.

Bio : Is the less active, brother complex sister of Baron.
She can be very agressive if her brother is threatened, on the side she relaxed,
easy going, and loving (As long as you didn't insult her brother).

Bio : Pretty much, one wild kitten. She's a Anti-Baron character.
Even though she doesn't hate him, she will commonly call him an idiot.
Her most reavealing trait is her ears.

Bio : Though she shows a outgoing personality, don't expect to get close to her when your both alone.
Spyet is the shyest of all 6 girls, and to add insult to injury, she is also the fastest.
When it comes down to combat, she dominates at Ballistic attacks.
She commonly teases Chika about her ears.

Bio : Though a bit Cliche, Nekome IS a rebelious Princess!
She pretty much mauls her marriage candidates, the only exception is Baron.(because he isn't a marriage candidate)
She treats him like a doll (Drags him around), and pretty much kidnaps anytime she needs something.
As one of her better traits, she has a very commanding personality, in a nice way.
She is the second fastest of all 6 girls.

Bio : OMG!! Clumsy.... yeah pretty much sums up Icaria.
She is the Eldest of all 6 Girls and the Clumsiest of them too.
Despite that she can easily turn a frowning event into a cheerful one.

Primary Class : Pandera (Special class Of Blacksmith. Uses a combination of physical and magical skills to accomplish tasks)
Primary Element : Neutral
Bio : Len looks responsible, acts responsible, and is a total Airhead.
Len is the most Elite Pandera in Panderax and despite being a total airhead, a very successful one at that.
She has a wide assnal, ranging from bombs to hammers.
Len is pretty much a walking power house. (So no bonus for you!)

Originally, I was planning on using GTBS, but after the number to dead locks, and limitations.
I decided to move over to YEM.
Mostly the SBS mode of it.
Subclass System- Spoiler:
Under normal circumstances, no character will actually have access to any new classes.
All characters will not be able to change there primary class.
Instead subclasses are the available (Currently only 4)
Each subclass will affect stats.
AtMs - Attack Magic Support
Affects : MAG
This sub class raises the MAG stat higher than usual, in addition it allows the actor to learn offensive magic.
DfMs - Defense Magic Support
Affects : DEX
This sub class raises the DEX stat higher than usual, in addition it allows the actor to learn defensive magic.
AtCs - Attack Combat Support
Affects : ATK and DEF and MAG
This sub class raises the ATK stat higher by sacrificing MAG and DEF, in addition it allows the actor to learn offensive skills.
DfCs - Defense Combat Support
Affects : ATK and DEF and MAG
This sub class raises the DEF stat higher by sacrificing ATK and MAG, in addition it allows the actor to learn defensive skills.
Difficulty System >> May be removed due to some technical issues...- Spoiler:
At the beginning of a new game you will be ask to select your difficulty.
Squire
Can be considered easy, items are cheaper, enemies are weaker, and you level up faster.
Play only if you want to get a feel of the game.
Lancer
Can be considered normal, everything is balanced.
This is the default difficulty.
Collosus Lancer
This is for those HARDCORE players, who are just itching to kill some LV 100 Slimes
and spend a fortune on items.
Clan System- Spoiler:
You can have your own Unique party, all your quests and combat will be graded.
You will have special points which allow you access to more Recipes and Equipment.
In addition you can have Clan Based Skills (All party members can use this skill) and a Clan Trait (Affects all party members stats).
Day Night System- Spoiler:
This will also affect, events and other things.
Some characters will have there stats affected based on the time of day.
Custom Stats (Still being written)- Spoiler:
These are other stats, simi.lar to how the Clan System points system works.
All party members have there owns points which can affect a great deal of things.
Choices- Spoiler:
You are given choices, they may not be many of them.
But note your choices can affect alot of things.
Partner Capabilities
Special Events
Baron's primary crest. (Will be explained in next feature)

Is actually apart of the equipment system.
Crests are accessories which give the wearer special abilities.
Like fast attack
Dual Attack
No Critical
And other abilities.
Dungeon Crawling- Spoiler:
Origianlly I wasn't planing on doing this, but I decided to use it as a resource hunting
quest, primarily so you can get new items and ores for making equipment.
In addition to finding recipes for new equipmnet.
Item Craft- Spoiler:
This is the backbone of Earthen, all your battles will fall on your ability to craft.
No one wants to run into a battle unarmed (Unless your Hector).
There will be additional details on this later.
Limitations- Spoiler:
The active battle party is limited to 3 Members.
You are limited to 20 of the same items.
You can only equip 5 Skills (May raise it if neccessay)
Screw Random Encounters!!- Spoiler:
No one likes being constanly molested by an unseen enemy suddenly.
Instead, when wandering around Earthen, YOU will see the enemies and can avoid them if you can.
No world Map- Spoiler:
I get tired of seeing a huge World Map.
Instead every area is connected to each other.

I'm about to do something REALLY unexpected...I'm tearing down the entire project file... Everything... music, maps, skills, etc...
I'm gonna start over (There was a lot of things I wanted to clean up.. but looking at the current project file...its best if I start a new clean one..)
The reason for this, is I've been using Earthen as a testing ground for a lot of things.. Like Scripts, custom graphics, Melodies and other things..
The whole project had become a bit too confusing and crowded.. (Load time was horrible..)
Don't worry I'll just be copying stuff over.. in a more orderly fashion..
I'll still keep the old one as a dump project (A project file I use for testing and dumping unused, obsolete stuff)

Also.. I'm gonna take a nice break... If you didn't know.. I've been at home for 4 months now.. (No School, No Job)
I'm not gonna start another project until I finish Earthen.. I don't care how long it will take me..
I WILL FINISH THIS.
